Biography|Michael Suffredini — The Clear Lake Address Where He and Ghaffarian Founded Axiom

600 Gemini Street sits in Houston's Clear Lake, a few kilometres west of Johnson Space Center.

The U.S. System for Award Management lists that address as Axiom Space Inc.'s physical seat and records a business start date of 1 October 2016.

The firm registered in SAM on 31 October 2016.

Michael Suffredini and Kam Ghaffarian founded the company that year.

Axiom's own team page still names both men as founders.

Suffredini had left NASA in late 2015 after a decade as ISS program manager.

Ghaffarian had built Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies into a major NASA contractor.

The bet was simple on paper and hard in metal: a commercial destination in low Earth orbit, first as modules on the existing station, later as a free-flying outpost after ISS retirement.

Suffredini served as president and chief executive from the founding until 9 August 2024.

He then moved to the board.

The Gemini Street pin is a corporate address, not a private house.

Later directories also list 1290 Hercules Avenue at Houston Spaceport, where the company built an assembly, integration and test hall.

The 2016 file begins here, in an ordinary Clear Lake office block within sight of the center he had just left.
