People treat Lisa Su's AMD years as a California story.
The company put her first desk in Austin.
On 15 December 2011 AMD announced that she would join as senior vice president and general manager of Global Business Units.
The release said she would begin on 3 January 2012 and would be based in Austin, Texas.
She came from Freescale Semiconductor, also an Austin house, where she had been chief technology officer and then head of networking and multimedia.
AMD's Lone Star campus in that period was listed at 7171 Southwest Parkway, Austin, Texas 78735, later branded as part of The Summit at Lantana.
The 2011 press page still named Sunnyvale as corporate headquarters.
Austin was the operating base named for her.
She reported to president and chief executive Rory Read.
The units under her covered client, commercial, graphics, professional graphics, and game-console products.
Those console programs later included custom chips for Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One.
This pin is the public campus address AMD printed for Austin, not a private residence.
The later Santa Clara headquarters at 2485 Augustine Drive is a different building and a different year.
