Biography|Anders Danielsson — The Empire State Floor Where He Took the American Business

On 24 May 2017 Skanska named Anders Danielsson president and chief executive of Skanska USA.

The change took effect on 1 June.

The U.S. headquarters already sat inside the Empire State Building at 350 Fifth Avenue, a floor the firm had occupied since a 2008 fit-out that later earned LEED Platinum.

Danielsson kept his seat on the nine-person Senior Executive Team and continued to oversee global infrastructure development.

He was sent in after the U.S. civil unit had failed to meet profit expectations.

Richard Cavallaro moved back to lead USA Civil the same day.

The American book was not a side market.

It was already the group's largest, with work that included the LaGuardia redevelopment in New York.

Six months later the parent board would give him the whole company.

The tower is still the published U.S. address.

The floor number has changed since 2017 — Skanska later shifted inside the building from the original 32nd-floor rooms — but the pin is the same landmark.
