Sweet Home|Hoehyeon Citizen Apartment — The Namsan Horseshoe That Held the Corridors

The Green Home corridors did not come from a soundstage first. They came off this slope. Hoehyeon Citizen Apartment sits at 101 Toegye-ro 8-gil in Jung-gu, a 1970 horseshoe of ten storeys poured into the Namsan hillside after the Wau Apartment collapse forced Seoul to thicken its citizen-housing frames. One entrance is at street level. Another arrives at the sixth floor by a skybridge because the mountain would not flatten for the plan.

Lee's team scouted here for the same reason film crews had already used it in The Chaser and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance: the mid-block courtyard, the long open galleries, the way daylight dies halfway down the hall. Interiors for Sweet Home were rebuilt later. The geometry is this building. Fans still climb from Hoehyeon Station and walk the Namsan old path to look at the facade from the public sidewalk.

Demolition has been announced, delayed, and announced again. Namuwiki, as of 2026, still lists the second block as standing with demolition indefinitely postponed. People live here. Treat the courtyard as private. From the street the horseshoe still reads as a single dark letter against the mountain. That letter is what the first season needed before any monster walked out of a door.
