Full House|Sammok Harbor — The Ten-Minute Crossing to the House

The ticket window at Sammok still sells the same short ride VisitKorea printed for Full House pilgrims in 2004. Yeongjongdo is already behind you. Incheon Airport is a few kilometres south. Ahead is a ten-minute crossing to Sindo, then a pair of low bridges onto Sido, where a wooden house once sat on the water.

KBS built that house for Han Ji-eun and Lee Young-jae. The official tourism page called the route plainly: from Sammok Harbor, a ten-minute boat to a quiet seashore getaway. Fans from Japan, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong bought the same ticket and waited on this concrete quay while the ferry loaded cars and bicycles.

The house is gone. The harbor is not. Ferries still leave on the hour for the three brother islands. You stand where the cameras never lingered and watch the water that carried every visitor who came looking for a set that cost a million dollars and lasted nine years. The crossing is the part of the pilgrimage that still keeps the timetable.
