Biography|Russell J. Weiner — The Purchase Campus Where He Ran Pepsi's Cola Brands

People meet Russell J. Weiner as the marketer who remade Domino's pizza.

The decade before that office was a different campus, thirty miles north of Manhattan.

PepsiCo's world headquarters sits at 700 Anderson Hill Road in Purchase, New York, a seven-building concrete campus Edward Durell Stone designed in the late 1960s around the Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens.

Weiner joined Pepsi in 1998.

In 2006 the company made him vice president of marketing for colas at Pepsi-Cola North America, the flagship line that then accounted for about half of Pepsi's North American volume.

The 2008 Domino's hiring release put the portfolio he left at $14 billion in retail sales.

From this campus he worked the Diet Pepsi Max launch and the Pepsi Stuff continuity program that company biographies later called Pepsi's largest promotion.

Packaging Strategies interviewed him in June 2008, two-plus years into the cola job, on treating the can itself as media.

Three months later Domino's announced he would leave Purchase for Ann Arbor.

The sculpture gardens in front of the building remain a public walk.
