Biography|Russell J. Weiner — The Kaufman Center Where He Took a Night MBA in 2001

The marketing degree that company biographies always pair with Cornell was not earned on an Ithaca quad.

It was earned at night in Greenwich Village, while Weiner already held a full-time job.

Henry Kaufman Management Center, at 44 West Fourth Street, is the main teaching block of New York University's Stern School of Business.

Domino's 2008 hiring release states that he finished an MBA in marketing and international business here in 2001, attending in the evenings.

That detail matters because profiles later flatten the sequence into two tidy school names.

The order on the ground was government first, then brand work, then this building after hours.

By 2001 he had already moved through an advertising agency and Philip Morris and into PepsiCo.

The night classes sat on top of that job, not in place of it.

Cornell's later profile and the Domino's release keep the same year and the same two fields: marketing and international business.

In 2007 Advertising Age put him on a Top 40 Under 40 list.

The next year Domino's announced him as chief marketing officer from Ann Arbor.

Stand on West Fourth Street between Mercer and Greene and the Kaufman Center is the brick-and-glass block with Stern lettering on the facade.
