Biography|RJ Scaringe — The R1T and R1S Shown in This Hall

For nine years the company had almost no public sheetmetal.

On 27 November 2018 that changed inside the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Rivian put two vehicles on the floor of the Los Angeles Auto Show: the R1T pickup and the R1S SUV.

MotorTrend, Autoweek, and Automotive News all dated the pair to that show week.

The hall stands at 1201 South Figueroa Street.

The largest pack was then described as good for more than 400 miles.

Deliveries were slated for late 2020. They slipped into 2021.

What the hall recorded was the first time the Rockledge lab project looked like two production trucks.

Forbes later treated that Los Angeles week as the public debut of the SUV and pickup.

The Convention Center is a public venue. The vehicles on the stand that week were still pre-production.
