薫る花は凛と咲く | 板橋区立向屋敷公園 — A Cake Carried Carefully

Rintaro arrives with a cake box that feels heavier than its size. He has practiced under his father, failed, tried again, and finally made something for Kaoruko with his own hands. In Episode 11, their birthday meeting moves to a neighborhood park, where the gift can be opened away from the station crowd and Kaoruko can understand how much thought has been folded into an ordinary cardboard box.

Mukaiyashiki Park gives the scene no grand backdrop. A bench, trees, and the muted sounds of Itabashi are enough. That restraint fits Rintaro: he still struggles to say exactly what he feels, so the hours spent measuring, mixing, and decorating must speak for him. Kaoruko takes the cake home and shares it with her family, allowing his care to travel beyond the two of them. Stand near the park bench and notice how carefully people carry a cake box—the level hands reveal the value inside before anyone lifts the lid.
