Episode two brings Tsubasa to the south side of Kitami Station for his first winter festival with Minami. Snow sculptures, a local mascot, food steam, and the unlikely warmth inside a snow fort turn the city’s cold from an obstacle into something shared. Their photograph here is simple, but it marks the first time Tsubasa chooses to step into Kitami life instead of merely surviving it.
The real venue is the Kitami Station South Multipurpose Plaza beside the Kitami Arts and Culture Hall. Outside festival days it is an open civic space; during the event, paths and temporary structures redraw it in snow. Walk over from the station through Mint Road and notice the change underfoot: packed snow, a cleared path, then the plaza opening wide. That small transition is the episode’s whole idea—winter does not become less cold, but it becomes somewhere two people can stand together.
