Naksan Park rides the old city wall above Ihwa-dong. From the ridge the roofs of Daehangno sit in one plane. Couples use the wall as a bench. Joggers use it as a lap.
The drama sends Eun-gyeol up here when the city below is too loud for a conversation that has to land. The fortress stone is Joseon. The view is twenty-first century. That mix is the whole show: a boy from 2023 standing on a wall that does not care which year he came from.
The climb from Marronnier Park takes ten minutes if you do not stop for the painted alleys. At dusk the wall takes the last light and the valley of Jongno goes on working underneath.
