My Name|Sewoon Plaza — The Electronics Spine Over Cheonggyecheon

Cheonggyecheon-ro 159 is not a set. It is the first slab of postwar Seoul that tried to stack shops, apartments, and a pedestrian deck on one kilometer of concrete.

Creatrip's location list for My Name puts Sewoon Electronics here, the same Kim Swoo-geun megastructure that later turned up in Vincenzo and True Beauty. In 1968 this was the capital's appliance and parts bazaar. Personal computers and game boards passed through these floors in the 1980s. Yongsan took the volume. The building kept the parts, the makers, and the smell of solder.

The stream runs under the deck. Jongno 3-ga and Euljiro 4-ga dump you at the doors. Inside, tools still hang where the drama needed a city that could hide a deal in plain sight. Seoul has talked about turning the complex into a park. Until that happens, the spine is still walkable.

Look down from the deck at the water and then back at the stall lights. That is the Seoul Ji-woo moves through when the story leaves Busan.
