Esports | FIFA 19 | MoAuba — The 3-2 Cross-Console Final at The O2
kevin
On August 4, 2019, Mohammed “MoAuba” Harkous and defending champion Mosaad “MsDossary” Aldossary reached the Final Showdown on the public stage at The O2 in Greenwich, London. Their match closed the three-day FIFA eWorld Cup, the official season-ending championship for competitive EA SPORTS FIFA 19.
The two finalists arrived from separate console brackets: MoAuba had won the PlayStation side after eliminating Nicolás “Nicolas99fc” Villalba, while MsDossary had retained the Xbox title. Thirty-two qualifiers had begun the event in four console-specific groups before the knockout rounds reduced the field to one champion from each platform.
FIFA’s format made the decider a two-leg football tie, with one match on Xbox One and one on PlayStation 4; the player scoring more total goals across both legs won the world title. The public record identifies FIFA 19 and both consoles, but not an event-specific title-update number, so no software revision is inferred here.
The first leg was played on MsDossary’s preferred Xbox One and ended 1–1. The competitors then switched to PlayStation 4, where MoAuba won the second leg 2–1, producing the official 3–2 aggregate score.
That scoring detail matters because 3–2 was not a best-of-five game count: it was the sum of goals from two complete simulated football matches. MsDossary therefore lost the overall title even though neither player had led after the Xbox leg.
MoAuba became the first German winner of the FIFA eWorld Cup and received the $250,000 first prize, while MsDossary finished second one year after winning the 2018 edition. The result also joined two hardware communities in one deciding tie rather than naming separate PlayStation and Xbox world champions.
FIFA’s event schedule places the Final Showdown at The O2 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, August 4, and contemporary independent coverage records the same venue, date, opponents, and result. The white tensile dome and yellow support masts visible from the Thames still identify the Greenwich complex where that cross-console final was played.
