Biography|Stuart Graham — The Hagaporten Office Where the American Ran Skanska

From September 2002 until April 2008 the parent company's chief executive sat in Solna.

The published head-office address in those years was Hagaporten, Råsundavägen 2.

The tower across the junction is Hagahuset at Råsundavägen 1, the old county office block that now faces the same Haga Norra interchange.

This is the gate a visitor still finds at the north entrance to Stockholm.

Graham's brief was narrower than the expansion years that preceded him.

The 2002 annual report is signed from Stockholm in March 2003 under his name.

Net sales that year were about SEK 146 billion.

He spent the tenure on risk, procurement and a retreat from the idea that more countries meant more profit.

Engineering News-Record later credited him with stricter procurement controls and with replacing the head of the U.S. buildings unit in 2005 after a 56-million-dollar loss.

He retired as president and CEO in April 2008 and kept the chair of Skanska USA for a time.

In 2012 he became chairman of Skanska AB.

He left that board in April 2016.

The present group headquarters is at Warfvinges väg 25, Entré Lindhagen, on Kungsholmen.

The Solna gate is the address that matches his years in the chair.

Stand at Haga Norra and the interchange still throws the same traffic past the old Hagaporten plot.
