People treat the Apple chair as a product of a California operations floor.
The graduate degree he finished was taken on Duke's west campus while he still held a job.
In 1986 Cook entered the Fuqua School of Business evening executive M.B.A. program.
He received the degree in 1988 and was named a Fuqua Scholar, the honor Fuqua gives students who finish in the top tenth of the class.
The school stands at 100 Fuqua Drive in Durham.
Breeden Hall is the public face of that campus.
He was working in IBM's personal-computer business in North Carolina at the same time.
Duke later put him on its board of trustees, beginning in 2015.
In 2018 he returned as the university commencement speaker.
The pin is a public professional school, not a residence.
Cook is a living executive.
