The stone bridge and the arched gate mark the principal western entrance to the Old Town. In the series this is the threshold of King’s Landing: the place where processions enter, where crowds gather, where the first sight of the capital is given to characters arriving by land. Fort Bokar guards one side and the view opens toward Fort Lovrijenac on the other. The gate itself is still the working entrance used by thousands of visitors every day. Stand on the outer side and look in. The same sequence of stone, shadow and sudden openness remains.
