Extraordinary Attorney Woo | Centerfield, Yeoksam — Hanbada's Revolving Door

The revolving door beats her. First day at the country's biggest law firm, top of her class at Seoul National, and Woo Young-woo stands at the entrance unable to time her step into a rotating gap. Lee Jun-ho works out the problem in about four seconds. He gets in front, sets the pace, and counts her through — and from then on the two of them enter Hanbada in a small choreographed shuffle that the show keeps returning to like a refrain.

That door is at Centerfield, 231 Teheran-ro, directly outside Yeoksam Station. Two towers, a wide granite forecourt, glass to the sky. It is a working office complex — securities firms, game companies, a hotel — and Hanbada exists nowhere in it, but the lobby scale is exactly what the drama needed: a building that does not slow down for anyone.

You can walk in. The plaza and the basement level are open from six in the morning to midnight, and the underground floor is a genuine food hall with a bakery and several cafés, which makes this the rare filming location where lingering is normal rather than conspicuous.

The best time is a weekday around half past eight, when Teheran-ro empties several thousand people out of the subway and into these doors at once.

Stand near the entrance then and watch how fast everybody moves through without looking. Then remember that the show's most quietly radical idea was that the door was never the problem — the problem was that nobody before Jun-ho had thought to slow down and count.
