Emily in Paris | Pont Alexandre III — Selling Desire on the Seine

In “Sexy or Sexist,” Maison Lavaux turns Pont Alexandre III into the runway for its De l’Heure perfume campaign. A model crosses the bridge while suited men watch, and Emily interrupts the polished spectacle with the question the client does not want: is the image seductive, or simply sexist? The gold-winged statues, ornate lamps, and open view along the Seine make the advertisement look inevitable. Her objection breaks that illusion and becomes the first time her outsider’s instinct starts to matter at Savoir.

Walk onto the bridge from the Grand Palais side and stop near the center, keeping clear of cyclists and other pedestrians. Look back along the low metal arch toward the gilded pylons; the production relies on that long ceremonial axis to make one person’s movement feel like an event. No reconstruction is necessary—the bridge already performs. It is a public crossing and can be busy or affected by city events, so do not stage a shoot in the roadway or obstruct the pavement. Finish on the downstream side with the Seine below and the lamps repeating behind you. The memorable detail is the mismatch Emily notices: a campaign can be visually perfect while the idea beneath it remains unsettled.
