On 30 September 2022 Bernadette M. Meehan presented her letters of credence to President Gabriel Boric in the Salón Montt Varas of Palacio de La Moneda.
Chile's foreign ministry recorded the same afternoon ceremony for six new ambassadors: Israel, Finland, Denmark, the United States, the Czech Republic, and Mexico.
Foreign Minister Antonia Urrejola stood with the president.
The Chilean presidency's photo notice of that date names Meehan among the six.

Salón Montt Varas is the ground-floor state room on the west side of the palace, used for credentials, oaths, and the signing of laws.
