Secret | Aletheia University Sports Field — For the Sake of One Marinated Egg

A student sits on the edge of the field with a simple lunchbox. In Secret, Ye Xianglun eats there, declaring it is all for the sake of one marinated egg. The rugby match scenes also unfold on the same open ground at Aletheia University.

The field lies within the campus that shares a boundary with Tamkang High School. It is ordinary sports ground — grass, lines, the everyday space of a school that continues its own life. The film borrowed this ordinary place and turned a quiet meal into a memorable beat of the story.

Visitors can walk the campus paths and reach the field without special permission during open hours. The view across the grass still feels open to the sky and the surrounding historic buildings. Nothing dramatic has been added; the place remains a working part of the university.

Stand at the edge and the small detail of the lunchbox becomes larger than the match. The ordinary act of eating on the field edge carries the weight the film gave it, and then releases it back to the quiet of the present campus.
