Biography | Nasser Al-Khelaifi — The Parc des Princes Night He Became the Seventeenth President of PSG

24 rue du Commandant Guilbaud is the address of the Parc des Princes, the concrete bowl Roger Taillibert rebuilt for Paris in 1972.

Paris Saint-Germain have played here since July 1974.

On 30 June 2011 Qatar Sports Investments, with Al-Khelaifi as chairman, took a 70 percent stake in the club from Colony Capital. QSI bought the rest in March 2012.

L'Équipe and the club's own president list date his appointment as president and chief executive to 4 November 2011. He was the seventeenth person to hold the office, and the first who was not French.

Benoît Rousseau had been keeping the chair warm since July. The Qatari takeover had already been announced in late June.

Al-Khelaifi brought in Leonardo as director of football and put a five-year plan on the table: qualify for the Champions League, then stay there.

The first season ended second in Ligue 1, behind Montpellier. The European nights came later.

By March 2025 he had outlasted Francis Borelli as the longest-serving president in the club's history, passing Borelli's 13 years and four months by a single day.

The trophy count under his tenure is the largest the club has ever posted: repeated Ligue 1 titles, domestic cups, and, from 2025, the Champions League.

The stadium itself belongs to the City of Paris. The team that rents it is no longer a mid-table Paris side with a hooligan problem. It is a state-backed project that happens to play in the 16th arrondissement.
