桂川の向こうに嵐山が見え、低く長い渡月橋が水面を横切る。『やはり俺の青春ラブコメはまちがっている。続』第2話では、この嵐山の景色が、修学旅行の観光と、葉山と八幡の会話をつなぐ背景になる。
旅行中の奉仕部は、戸部の恋の相談に関わっていた。第2話の公式あらすじが示すのは、依頼を進める八幡が、その裏にあるそれぞれの思いに気づいていく流れだ。誰かが前へ進もうとするとき、その変化を望まない人も同じ集団の中にいる。
渡月橋周辺と作中の背景を照合した現地探訪記録は、葉山が今の関係を壊したくないという思いを八幡に伝える場面を紹介している。ここでは台詞を再現するより、橋と川を眺めながら、八幡がその思いを理解してしまうことの重さを考えたい。

修学旅行には、見学先を順番に回る時間と、友人への見方が変わる時間が重なっている。渡月橋の向こうを人々が渡っていく。その普段どおりの景色の中に、関係を変えたくないという葉山の思いが残る。
