池袋ウエストゲートパーク Ikebukuro West Gate Park | 荒崎公園 Arasaki Park — Hikaru at the Edge of the Sea

At the end of 池袋ウエストゲートパーク, the city noise falls away and Hikaru faces the sea from a bench above the coast. The scene feels like Ikebukuro has finally released her, but the real landscape is far from Tokyo: 荒崎公園 Arasaki Park, on the western edge of the Miura Peninsula in Yokosuka. From 夕日の丘 Sunset Hill, Sagami Bay opens beyond layered rock shelves, and on clear days the horizon carries Mount Fuji and the Izu ranges. The view gives the finale its emotional distance. Nothing here resembles the crowded west gate, yet that contrast is the point; after a story built from asphalt, tunnels, and rival colors, Hikaru is left with wind and open water. Use the marked paths, take care on exposed coastal rock, and check the seasonal parking hours before arriving. The quiet is the scene’s final line.
