Glass walls, pale stone, and quiet interior light become the professional world of 並木晴道 Namiki Harumichi. In First Love 初恋, 札幌市民交流プラザ Sapporo Community Plaza plays the fictional Northern Lights Building, where Harumichi works in security after leaving the Self-Defense Forces. The official Sapporo Film Commission map names the plaza for this screen identity; the real building is a public cultural complex inside さっぽろ創世スクエア Sapporo Sosei Square. The series was released on Netflix on 24 November 2022. Its timelines often collide through familiar music or places, but Harumichi’s workplace represents the life he built when the past seemed unreachable: ordered, watchful, and enclosed behind glass. The real plaza softens that atmosphere with a library and information center, performance halls, exhibitions, and spaces designed for people to meet. Public areas can be visited during posted hours, while performances, reserved rooms, offices, and backstage spaces require authorization or tickets.
