Biography | Sergey Brin — Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Maryland

Sergey Brin received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in mathematics and computer science from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1993. He completed the degree in three years after leaving high school early. The Computer Science Instructional Center and the surrounding buildings on the College Park campus were the setting for his undergraduate work. His father, Michael Brin, was a mathematics professor at the university. From College Park he went on to Stanford for graduate study, where he met Larry Page and began the research that became Google. The university has continued to recognize him as a distinguished alumnus and Hall of Fame member of the Department of Computer Science.
