Revisiting my hometown, Taman Cheras (Yulek) in Kuala Lumpur, brought back a flood of cherished childhood memories. This vibrant place, alive with the aroma of street food, was where I grew up enjoying delectable delights like Chee Cheong Fun, Chow Kuey Teow, Penang Har Mee, and an array of famous Chinese desserts and freshly made doughnuts.
Walking through the bustling food stalls, surrounded by the lively chatter of vendors and diners, felt like stepping back in time. The flavors and smells were just as I remembered, a comforting reminder of my younger days. Each bite transported me back to those carefree evenings when this street food culture was the highlight of my day. Reconnecting with this culinary haven was more than just a treat for my taste buds—it was a heartwarming journey into the past.
