Rota das Capelas - Santiago de Compostela Journey start

On 25th of July, 2021, the day that is celebrated the Santiago or St. James, I took my first step as a Pilgrim, towards the goal of making the Santiago de Compostela Way in 2023, the year that I will celebrate my 60th year anniversary.
This is a memory mark of a long pilgrim journey!
In this day, I was with my son Diego (that is a different way of writing Tiago!) and my Daughter in law Ana Carolina, a a couple of friends.
This was a journey of 24 km, along the mountains of Cristina in Minas Gerais, Brazil, the city I was born. The route was designed to go through 4 small chapels in the city country side. It was great day for staying together in the nature, and reflection on what is actually important on our life as a family.
None of us was physically prepared, or in shape, for that long walk journey, so we had to stay one day more in town, to have our body fully recovered.
Our soul on the other hand were completely fulfilled with joy and peace at the end of it.
The pictures in front of the main church was taken at the arrival, after 7 hours or walking. You do not see tired faces there!
