After my scenic cruise around Kobe Bay, my next destination was the historic Kitano district. To get there, I needed to hop on a train from Nishi-Motomachi Station to the bustling Kobe Sannomiya area. The journey is quick and convenient—Hanshin Electric Railway trains run every 10 minutes, and the ride takes just about three minutes, making it an effortless transfer between the waterfront and the heart of the city. From Sannomiya, Kitano is about a 10- to 15-minute walk north, gradually ascending towards the foot of the Rokko mountain range.
