Local Kung Fu

Creativity and innovation is born out of lack of resources. It was the year 2012, when my friend Kenny Basumatary took a loan of Rs. 100,000 ($ 1800) from his mother and set out to fulfill his dream. He wanted to be a filmmaker and he did make a movie with the amount. It was a Jackie Chan like action comedy movie named Local Kung Fu. All his friends worked with him without any charge except few momos during the shoot. Later on at the time of release(2013), we also joined hands to promote the movie as Media Partners.

The movie tanked at the box office as many didn't watch it as Kenny was a fairly new. However, people who watched in DVD liked it and through word of mouth it became a cult movie. 

Now, the movie has its own franchise and every movie is hit. 

Dreams do come true if you have a proper plan to implement it.
