My cousin Nelson took me to Gurney Plaza, one of the oldest and most iconic malls in Penang. The mall exudes a unique charm, blending modern shopping facilities with touches of colonial British architecture that add to its character.
We indulged in a delightful treat of Japanese coffee and cakes at one of the cozy cafes, savoring the rich flavors and artisanal presentation. Later, we enjoyed a traditional and refreshing herbal dessert of bird's nest, a delicacy known for its health benefits.
Walking through the mall and its surrounding areas, I couldn’t help but admire the elegant blend of historical design and contemporary style, making it a memorable and relaxing experience.
