When he was 17, [Elon Musk] again changed his environment. Since his mother was also Canadian he was able to obtain Canadian citizenship and moved to Saskatchewan, Canada to live with a second cousin he had never met before and ended up working on a farm there.

In order to survive, he undertook other unconventional jobs, such as cleaning out a boiler room at a lumber mill in Vancouver.

The job was fraught with peril. Donning a hazmat suit, our OP Hero had to contort his body to squeeze through a minuscule tunnel that barely accommodated a person's frame. Within, he and the others who were working there were tasked with the strenuous activity of shoveling out a mixture of sand and hot goop, the steam swirling around them in a confined space. Their only exit was the same narrow hole they had crawled through without alternative routes for escape.

The boiler room presented true mortal danger, as anyone in it beyond 30 minutes could be overtaken by the unbearable heat and lose their lives. Initially, 30 individuals embarked on this daunting task, but the grueling conditions prompted all but three to abandon the mission within three days. As expected, our young protagonist was one of the three who persevered to the end of the project. Though he was of tender age, his Emotional Resilience attribute (Step 2) held steadfast, enabling him to endure until the project's completion.

In the process of this demanding task, he was once again compelled to cultivate his Abilities (Step 4), among them being Mechanical Engineering, the underlying Physics at play, and some preliminary understanding of Manufacturing Optimization.

These Skills eventually would make this young OP Hero the iconic expert on a variety of subjects, including Spacecraft Design and Manufacturing, Clean Energy Deployment,  Automated Production Systems, and a plethora more.

Yes - you might have guessed it. Our OP Hero who attained mastery over his Life Game by developing an unparalleled array of synergistic Skills, is none other than the unstoppable visionary Elon Musk, known for his groundbreaking enterprises such as Telsa, SpaceX, Paypal, and more. 

By applying his unique Talents to acquire great Skills, our poor boy who was bullied and worked dangerous jobs to stay afloat eventually ascended to become the wealthiest player on the Earth Server while completing a variety of Epic Quests that were formerly laughed at by his critics as “humanly impossible.”

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. At this point in his Learning Journey (the focus of this Chapter), our young Elon Musk has just left the dangerous lumber mill and has only acquired the Knowledge of thousands of books and a variety of Engineering Skills. How did he go from poor smart kid to become the world's most preeminent tycoon mogul?

Soon after his Lumber Mill adventures, Elon Musk enrolled in Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada to get one of the most prominent Skill Boosts - a college education.

It is important to note that one’s Skills and Abilities only are relevant to the Game (Step 1) they are playing, and their Roles (Step 3) within the Game. At this stage, Elon’s main game, as interpreted by this book, is “Strive for Greater Collective Enlightenment,” which generally means uncovering the truth of the universe for humanity. Through his mission of trying to extend human consciousness and his constant effort to build technology for businesses, we interpret his Role in this Game as an “Entrepreneurial Engineer.”

We already saw his performance as an Entrepreneurial Engineer when he built and sold the game Blastar at the age of 12. But to further level up his Abilities (Step 4) as an Entrepreneurial Engineer, he made sure he learned both Business skills as well as engineering fundamentals. At Queen’s University, he double majored in Business and Physics. 

These Skills were invaluable as they equipped Elon Musk with a comprehensive understanding of “how things work.” Physics unveiled the mechanisms of the natural world, while Business and Economics provided insights into finance and market dynamics. With this combined knowledge, Elon was empowered to engineer both groundbreaking technologies and enterprises, challenging conventional norms by harnessing “First Principles” towards these world dynamics.
