Founder’s Fiesta in Tempo House

I’ve been living in Taiwan like a hermit for around 4 years, converting my home to a man cave and focusing on my international work (including Metablox) and writing my second book “10,000 Hours of Play.” 

But in 2024 I was invited to do a keynote speech at a conference in San Francisco by RevenueCat (App Growth Conference). There I met a guy named Ethan and we were surprised to see that we both lived in Xindian in Taiwan. I told him I am looking for a community of people who have similar backgrounds as me in Taiwan, and we agreed to hangout back home.

He then invited me to an invite-only event called Founder Fiesta in Tempo House, so I attended.

There I heard some founders share their insights and learning, heard a talk from an impressive entrepreneur who did over $200M in revenue. I met Hoyin who recently had an impressive exit, and I even found out Ethan who invited me had a startup that recently bought another startup!

One cool highlight was meeting the owner of Tempo House. He has a collection of companies all focused on helping people in the Web 3 space.  I promised him that I would gift him a Metablox NFT for his venue.
