Walking along the Asahi River from the tram stop towards Okayama Castle was a truly refreshing experience, made all the more special by the beauty of Asahi-gawa Ujo-koen Ryokuchi. This riverside park offered a peaceful, green escape right in the heart of the city.
The gentle breeze off the river, the shaded walking paths, and the soft lawns all seemed to invite a slow, mindful pace. As I wandered through the park, the calmness of the water mingling with the rustling leaves created a perfect harmony, setting a serene mood before reaching the castle.
The views of Okayama Castle framed by the lush greenery felt like a scene from a painting—majestic and timeless. Families picnicking, couples strolling hand in hand, and the occasional cyclist passed by, all adding life to the tranquil atmosphere without disturbing its quiet charm.
