A discussion was had back in June 2023 with Next Level Roofing & Remodeling regarding the effects of roof damage in the greater Houston and Northern Houston suburbs. While most homeowners who have roof damage are concerned about replacements, leaks, water damage and mold - not to mention dealing with their homeowners' insurance policy companies (!) - there also is a greater short-term concern: rodents and other pests getting inside the house.
This resource from Montgomery County Texas helps people with suggested actions to take after a storm, especially one which may have caused damage to a property such as roof damage which then permits pests to get into the house. Since this resource is from just North of Houston, then mosquitoes also need to be a serious consideration as well:
