2008 Continental Baseball League All-Star Game Rainout In The 4th Inning

On July 13, 2008 the Continental Baseball League - an independent professional baseball league - headquartered in Addison, Texas held its second All-Star Game. The league's Home Run Derby took place the prior night on July 12, 2008. The game was called in the 4th inning due to unexpected thunderstorms and lightning; and due to the schedule there never was a conclusion to the exhibition event.
This All-Star Game took place at Gabe Nesbitt Field on the property of the Ballfields at Craig Ranch in McKinney Texas. The stadium and ball fields no longer exist, replaced by retail and apartment properties.
The two teams were the North and South. The North consisted of players and coaches from the McKinney Blue Thunder (host stadium) and the Texarkana Gunslingers. The South was comprised of players and coaches from the Bay Area Toros and the Corpus Christi Beach Dawgs.
