Sun Yat-sen became one of the "Four Bandits" in this Blox

This is the location where young Sun Yat-sen met with three other close friends regularly to discuss how to improve China. They were so consistent and infamous that the neighbors called them the "Four Bandits."

The Four Bandits Include: Sun Yat-sen, Chan Siu-bak (Medical school classmate and sworn brother to Sun and Lieutenant), Yang Heling (his store which is this Blox was used for the discussions), and Yau Lit(Part of Triads and helped setup a lot of chapters later on). Sun was nicknamed “Hong Xiuquan” because of his admiration for the Taiping Founder

Sun also connected with many peers during this time. He built relationships with two Medical Students who decades later helped Sun establish Guild Branches in the Philippines. Furthermore, Sun became part of a Team with three other friends and met regularly to discuss ideas about governance, societal reform, and revolutionary strategies. These four individuals were so consistent and infamous to the neighborhood locals, they started garnering the nickname “The Four Bandits.” These friends, once considered naive dreamers, would later emerge as crucial players in Sun’s revolutionary narrative, underscoring the long-term value of these early Alliances.

Of course, during this time, Sun’s Life Game (Step 1) wasn’t truly to become a revolutionist and risk his life to overthrow the governing empire. Initially, his LIfe Game was just to Save People and Improve the Country. He couldn’t do that as a Pastor, so he chose to do that as a Doctor (Step 3: Role). But just like many people we might know, he loved talking about politics and what was deeply wrong with his country. During this period, he wrote some of his political views of what China should focus on: “the adoption of Western practices, the diffusion of institutions to promote talent, and improvements to advance China’s agriculture and sericulture.” Sun believed that the Spread of literacy was essential. “If human talent is not in abundance and if customs are not good, then the nation cannot be strong.
