Revisiting the old Rex Cinema in Kuala Lumpur with Chee Keong was a nostalgic trip back to my high school days. This spot, once a lively hub for movie lovers and a favorite hangout for us as teenagers, has undergone a remarkable transformation. The iconic cinema has been reinvented as a trendy wine bar featuring live performances, creating a vibrant and modern atmosphere.
In addition to the bar, the space now houses charming souvenir shops that attract tourists and locals alike, adding a unique flair to the historic venue. Walking through the familiar yet reimagined space stirred up fond memories of carefree times spent here, blending the past and present into a truly special experience.
