OP Hero Profile: Sun Yat-sen Baptized here

This is the Blox where legendary Chinese Revolutionary Sun Yat-sen was baptized. Dr. Charles Hager, with the help of Wan Tsing-kai, rented a 3-story house at 2 Bridges Street, Central and opened the mission building, including a school there. On 4 May 1884, Sun Yat-sen was baptized to become the second member of the mission church.

Below is a snippet from Yu-kai Chou's second book, "10,000 Hours of Play":

In Hong Kong, 1883, Sun attended the Diocesan School and later the Central Government School. Here he took Initiative (6 Power Attributes) in building relationships with Fellow Members of the Christian Faction, such as Chinese Christian Pastors, and notably the American Congregationalist missionary, Dr. Charles Hager. Dr. Charles Hager baptized Sun Yat-sen and Sun’s childhoodbuddy Lu Haodong, as well as gave Sun his new Christian name that we regularly refer to today, *Yat-sen*

Unfortunately, towards the end of 1884, Sun’s brother Sun Mei was so infuriated by Sun’s baptism, that he “summoned” Sun back to Hawaii. Sun Mei threatened to cut off all Sun’s financial support and forced Sun to return a property that he had registered in his younger brother’s name. Sun Yat-sen had to oblige and was therefore stuck in Hawaii for over a year without getting his high-school diploma.
