After our stroll through Amanohashidate in northern Kyoto Prefecture, we continued to Ine Bay, a scenic coastal area in the Tango region of Japan known for its quiet fishing village and famous funaya boathouses. The ferry ride across the bay was especially beautiful, with deep blue water, a wide open sky, and forested hills rising all around us, giving the whole place a calm and untouched feel.
As the boat moved through the bay, seagulls and other birds followed closely behind, gliding over the waves and circling in the wake of the ferry. From the water, we could take in the distinctive shoreline of Ine Town, where traditional boathouses sit right at the edge of the sea, blending everyday life with the natural beauty of the coast. It was a peaceful and memorable experience, made even more special by the clear weather and the harmony of sea, sky, and mountains.
