Sinking my feet into the warm herb foot bath at Marche Herb felt like the perfect pause in the middle of Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden. Tiny fish nibbled gently at my skin, and as the water rippled around my ankles, all the walking and climbing seemed to melt away.
In front of me, the terrace opened up to a wide view of Kobe city and its busy port, framed by layers of deep green forest and a soft grey sky. The city looked so small from up there, like a quiet model laid out between the mountains and the sea.
With my feet refreshed, I sat back on the wooden deck and treated myself to a rose‑colored soft serve in a crisp cone, sweet and slightly floral, while the breeze drifted through the trees. It was one of those simple, perfect travel moments where relaxation, scenery, and a small treat all came together in a single memory.
