Last night I dreamt, and youth returned its grace,
As if a spell had turned back time's cruel pace.
We both were sixteen, hearts unburdened, free,
Meeting anew, as if fate willed it to be.
Our eyes locked, silent secrets they exchanged,
You glanced away, a shy smile rearranged.
My heart, a frantic drum, began to race,
As courage surged, I moved toward your grace.
A chill, like winter's breath, swept through my chest,
Your deadly smile, a sweet torment confessed.
Yet newfound strength surged forth, unbidden,
And calmness settled where anxiety had ridden.
I couldn't stop the smile that graced my face,
Ecstasy enveloped me, love's warm embrace.
Familiar, yet fresh, this feeling took hold,
Once more, I fell—love's tale retold.
I cannot break free; it binds me anew,
In love with you, forever and true.
Three words echo, etched in heart's refrain,
"I love you, I love you," again and again.
